Quick start guide

How to start trading on Pear

Your first Orchard trade takes a few minutes. Here’s the whole flow.

It is highly recommended that you trade on Pear using a wallet that has not or is not currently placing trades on Hyperliquid directly. This is to avoid any unwanted conflicts in positions that you may already have there.

1. Connect

Connect a wallet, or sign in with email/social (Privy). We recommend trading on Orchard with a wallet that isn’t already placing trades directly on the underlying venue, it keeps your Orchard positions clean and avoids conflicts with pre-existing positions.

2. Fund

Deposit collateral (USDC) to the venue you’ll trade on. You can bring funds in with the built-in fiat on-ramp (card → USDC) or bridge from another chain no need to leave the interface. Your collateral stays on the venue; Pear never custodies it.

3. Pick a trade , three ways

  • Build a pair or basket yourself: choose your long(s) and short(s) in the token picker, set weights and leverage.
  • Start from a market basket: open the Baskets panel and pick a ready-made, AI-generated narrative basket with its stats and thesis.
  • Ask Agent Pear: type or speak (“Any alpha on ETH?”, “Build me a majors-vs-memes basket”) and get a researched idea you can open in one tap.

4. Review the ratio

Orchard charts the ratio between your long and short side, with correlation, cointegration, z-score, hedge ratio, net funding, and suggested leverage right there. This is the number that matters, not either leg alone.

5. Set your order

Choose Market, Limit/Trigger, TWAP, or Ladder. Add TP/SL on the ratio. Optionally flip on Auto-Rebalance so the position holds its target as it moves.

6. Open, then manage

Open the trade and both legs fire together. Track live PnL, net funding, and rebalance events from the positions view. Close outright, partially close, or reverse at any time.
