What is Pear Protocol?

Orchard is Pear's pair and basket trading platform. It enables long/short perp trading with leverage, with an AI co-pilot, statistical tooling, and multi-venue routing doing the heavy lifting.

The pair is the primitive. Everything else is a layer on top of it:

• Pairs: the classic long/short trade (long SOL, short ETH), executed as two synchronized perp legs on the ratio between them.
• Baskets: many longs against many shorts in one position (up to 15 legs total), so you can trade a whole narrative instead of a single pair.
• Agent Pear: a conversational AI that researches markets and proposes trades and baskets for you to confirm. It also rebalances your trades on request, and, in the app, auto-rebalance can hold a position on target automatically.
• Multi-venue: route to Hyperliquid and Lighter in the app, plus Binance, Bybit, and OKX in Pear Pro, without leaving Pear.

This solves the fragmented, manual nature of relative-value trading in crypto:

• One-click execution of long/short trades across supported venues
• Seamless charting and correlation/cointegration analysis of any pair or basket
• Risk transparency: PnL, net funding, and position metrics in one dashboard
• TP/SL on the ratio itself, plus Market, Trigger, TWAP, and Ladder order types

Pear does not custody user funds for trading. Orchard is a management and execution layer; your collateral stays on the venue you deposited it to. (Vault capital is held differently: see Vaults.)
