Variational is a next-generation on-chain perp venue. It advertises no-fee trading across crypto, equities, and commodities, with a risk-engine-centric architecture.

Where Pear stands

Status: Variational is on Pear's roadmap for the Orchard web app and Pear Pro, not yet integrated. Nothing on the current platform trades through Variational.
What it would mean: Variational markets would trade through the same pair/basket interface with the same non-custodial model as today's venues.
What is next: the venue in active development at Pear is Lighter's Robinhood Chain connector. Variational is a later, uncommitted direction.

Until Pear announces Variational support, assume it is unavailable. Check the Venues overview and release notes for what's live on each surface.
